Monday's I have my radio broadcasting shift at the school I go to! Let's just say Monday was definitely a MANIC one for sure! We had a blood drive at the University I attend. I have never given blood before and was extremely nervous to do so! They can't even get blood out of me when I have to go to the doctors. I wasn't allowed to give because my iron was way to low. I was disappointed because I wanted to save some lives and conquer one of my fears. It will have to wait for the next blood drive.
Directly after, I go to the station to work on my news cast prior to my shift. We began using a new format so I was even more nervous than usual. To my surprise, I liked the new format even better!
I am so lucky to go to a school that has a local radio station because I am one of those people who ONLY learns by doing it! The shift started off well, I feel that I even connected with the listeners a little more than normal. By the end of my shift, I was tripping over my words during the newscast, and actually had to clear my throat because I was losing my voice! It wasn't the best shift I have had. One the bright side, I'm a student learning and I am confident that when I graduate I will be a proficient broadcaster or journalist!
I like how personal it gets, but maybe some pictures of the studio, if you can get them, to bring it all in a little?
